About WP to Statamic
We’ve been building on both platforms long enough to know all the gotchas.
We’ve been building WordPress sites since before most of today’s page builders existed. ACF, custom post types, Gutenberg, headless setups, multisite — we’ve worked with all of it across hundreds of projects. That kind of time with a platform means we understand not just how it works, but where it starts to strain.
We started working with Statamic over a decade ago because it solved problems we kept running into on WordPress projects — content modeling that actually matched the site, an editing experience that didn’t need to be explained to clients, and a codebase that stayed clean over time. It became our go-to for new builds.
This practice exists because we kept doing the same migration work and getting good at it. Moving a WordPress site to Statamic touches everything — content architecture, SEO, hosting, team workflows — and having deep experience on both sides of that transition makes the work go better.
A few things we believe
Depth over breadth.
We’d rather be the best at one thing than adequate at twenty. This site exists for one reason, and that focus is why the work is good.
Honesty over salesmanship.
If Statamic isn’t right for your project, we’ll say so. We’d rather send you somewhere good than take a project that doesn’t fit.
Outcomes over deliverables.
A successful migration isn’t a checklist of things we did. It’s a team that’s happier, faster, and more independent on their new platform.
The studio
WP to Statamic is a practice of Lofty Thoughts, a web development studio specializing in Laravel and Statamic. We also build Statamic sites from scratch, Laravel applications, and yes — we still build WordPress sites when it’s the right tool for the job.
